Memorial Day Daily

Today is Memorial Day. It is a day when we remember all those who sacrificed their lives so that we might be free. God originally gave Memorial Day to the Hebrews when they came out of Egypt at the time of the Passover.  So Memorial Day is a very ancient feast for when we "remember" we make present the power of that person or that action or whatever it is we are remembering.  We bring forth and experience again all that spirit and life.  Catholics are very lucky because they celebrate Memorial day every day they go to Mass when they make present the salvation and divine love of Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection from death.  When we pray to Mary the Mother of God we make present in our hearts her wonderful love for us. She wants to take us to her divine son Jesus Christ and with us ask for all of our needs. What a wonderful mother we have in Mary Immaculate.
